Your data. Your call.
Kael only works if you can trust exactly what we store, what we don't, and what happens to anything we learn about you. Here's the full posture.
What Kael does — and doesn't — touch
Kael researches companies, ranks roles against your Ikigai, and writes deep dossiers on the matches worth your time. That's the product.
Kael never reads, writes, or sends mail on your behalf. We don't ask Google for inbox access. We don't connect to any other mail provider. Nothing ever leaves any account in your name.
What we store about you
- Career profile — the context you share in chat: resume, target roles, preferences, dealbreakers.
- Leads & dossiers — what Kael researched, how it ranked each option, and the dossiers Kael wrote about them.
- Activity ledger — a timestamped record of archives, pins, and feedback you gave on leads. Viewable at any time under Activity.
Daily Briefings
Each morning Kael composes a short summary of overnight activity — new leads, recent research, anything worth your attention — and posts it as a chat message. The briefing only fires when there's real signal worth sharing; quiet mornings stay quiet.
You can disable daily briefings any time at /app/settings. Briefings appear in chat, never via email. Toggle off and Kael will fall silent until you toggle it back on.
Deletion
If you close your account, we delete your career profile and all source artifacts within 30 days.
Want everything purged sooner? Email support@kaelbot.com and we'll do it manually within 3 business days.
Incident posture
We treat a data incident as a notification event, not a reputation event. If we ever have reason to believe your data was exposed, we'll tell you within 72 hours of confirming it — before any public statement. You'll get actionable steps in the same message.
What's still evolving
We're a small team building this product. We're writing our SOC 2 readiness plan, not handing you a finished one. If you're evaluating Kaelbot and need specific security answers, reach out — we'd rather have the conversation than hide.
